| I don't use soya much, there's loads of grains, pulses and veg that can be used. Do you know if he's ok with hempseed, if you can get it? I use that for burgers and roasts, it gives a lovely texture and taste when it's ground. |

haven't tried it yet. i have some, but i'm using other seeds at the mo (bread etc). they do reccommend not feeding seeds until a year or 2 (can't remember) but i think that might be because of choking.
at the mo i've taken him off all solids until we can speak to gp - not that i have much faith in their knowledge of allergies.
can you post recipes for those anyway - i need something to make up for me not eating soy. _________________ Aqui, T and Baby Jack!

I think I mentioned before that sometimes the liver has difficulty processing soya for some people. Although I find doctors pretty useless for allergies as you say, if you're worried it's better to get him checked out, at least to set your mind at ease. What symptoms is he displaying when you feed him solids, I do know of some children who didn't eat solids until nearly a year old, just not ready, they're all fine now. |

Oh my giddy aunt, we still haven't decided what the menu is. Greenlady muttered something about parsnip and chestnut fritters but other than that I don't know.

It was a roast made with cooked rice and nuts stuffed with a chestnut and red wine thing. Greenlady and I made it up as we went along. Homemade cranberry relish, sprouts, carrots, roast parsnips, tatties, sweetcorn (Coco HAS to have it), gravy, bread sauce. I did the vegan version of Jellycat's apple trifle, most of which E ate, a vegan cheese cake, traffles, Christmas cake and gingerbread (Coco HAS to have it!) Mr Kathy had chicken breast with chipolatas (sp). I think that was all. |
