Same here, £1 from the tooth fairy. M lost hers, so I had to pretend I found it and slipped one of E's under the pillow instead.

Beats a couple of years ago, on holiday in Devon. Mark hit E in the face with a ball and we lost that one in the sand Rolling Eyes

Nope we found that one after about 5 hours of looking

Farthing, half pence, penny, tuppence, thrupence, tanner, 2 bob, half crown, 10 bob note, I remember them all and you could get 4 chewy sweets for a penny (or a farthing each) and if you got a 10 bob note, well, it was like winning the lottery! Laughing

You can still get blackjacks (but in a packet, not individually - it's just not the same...), but I haven't seen fruit salad chews for years....

There was another chew sweet that was sort of caramel and white colours, but I can for the life of me remember what it was called.

And then there were the little packets of parma violet sweets - yummy!

No wonder we needed the tooth fairy Laughing
