I would be lost without my Bible.
I like most of Jilly Coopers too. _________________ The Card Bee

Bluebeard by Kurt Vonnegut. Or the Sirens of Titan by Vonnegut. Or God Bless you Mr Rosewater by Vonnegut (RIP).
Or Steppenwolf.
And finally Zen Mind Beginners Mind.
Although my most read book at the moment is Dr Spock! _________________ Aqui, T and Baby Jack!

Treasures of the Snow, will add the author later, this was read to me by a lady on the ward, when I was having heart surgery when I was 11, she went home before she finished the book, so she gave it to me, I will never forget this. _________________ Lyn |

Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy (am waiting in trepidation for the film...)
Also, 'Glamorous Powers' by Susan Howatch which really, really made me think about spirituality.
And 'The Eliots of Damerosay' by Elizabeth Goudge, which I'm re-reading again just now and which is so lovely.
Oh dear, technically that's seven books altogether....
And Lord of the Rings, which I've read about 15 times now ... |
