oh to be a city gal - I can hear ambulance sirens, police sirens the odd fire engine siren, gentle growl of non-stop traffic (actually it does lull between 2-6am) and occasionally some song that always makes me think of Johnnie Cash when the students a few doors down are p*****d and put it on repeat play through the early hours !

... and don't get me started on the flippin police helicopter that seems to hover above OH's house for hours when the football is on.

Fab - anyone want to swap ?

it is now just gone 6 am, and i can hear all manor of songbirds in the woodland behind us....there are also magpies having a chat to each other, and a cuckoo in the distance....

my computer is buzzing very quietly, i can also hear my sheep calling in from two fields away, and a little quail cockbird is calling from their shed.

Today I saw a red parrot, possibly a crimson rosella on the bird feeder.
