What a star. HEM's are everywhere - usually disguised to humans! - glad that Coco stayed put! Looking forward to photos. _________________ http://codlinsandcream.blogspot.com/ |

Joe has gone on for more training and looks likely to be sold fairly soon, there's someone interested in buying him.
In his place we have Cappuccino, a strawberry roan pony, about 14 hh. She's a sturdy wee mare and was put to Oliver the stallion (he was the orphaned foal I posted about many moons ago). She hasn't taken so is over here for the family to ride, E loves her. Coco bought her up to the house this evening and E rode her bareback without a lead rein (Coco walked beside her). A good all round family pony, she might be here for a while!
Danny is still here by the way, Coco is now able to sit on him without anyone giving her a legup. He was pretty freaky about her putting a foot in the stirrup but is getting better.

Cappuccino sounds a lovely mare - and a good family member. Hope she's with you for a good while. Danny is progressing well. Has Coco tried clicker training with him? Two friends have had AMAZING successes with very aggressive/scared horses with the clicker training as it seems to offer black/white options and the horse is rewarded for doing the right thing. _________________ http://codlinsandcream.blogspot.com/ |

Funnily enough that orphaned stallion and another stallion our friend has have gone up to Aberdeen to a girl who uses clicker training. Coco went up last week to see how they were doing and Oliver is a changed boy, (he was VERY naughty). Harvey was always a nice mannered chap anyway so he's already under saddle.
The girl also uses some of the Intelligent Horsemanship, depending on the animal, she's only 23 but very good at what she does. Coco has borrowed a book from her and started using it. |
