or is there any other way to freshen it up without the expense of dry cleaning?

The wool one I would definitely dry clean....how about sponging the other one? If it was'nt too expensive I would bung it in the machine at a low setting and hope for the best! Smile

I've got a wool wash setting on my machine and bung anything delicate in there. I've never been to a dry cleaners in my life, either a sponge down, wool setting on a machine or a cool quick hand wash works for me.

I've got a wool setting too - and my machine is very controllable, so I can pick temperature and spin speed too.

I think I'll risk it. Neither coat was particularly expensive - the wool one was a charity shop buy, so cost less than the dry cleaning would!
