Instead of stain remover & fabric conditioner we use white vinegar & a tablespoon or soda in the wash, we also rub the collars of white shirts with a cheep shampoo...

doesn't thta make the washing smell vinegary?

nope not atall, I have used white vinegar for yonks and it also helps prevent horrible limescale build up in washers drawers, milk is fab at getting out blood stains too Very Happy

I,,ve started using Soap-nuts. I was very sceptical, but they do seem to work.No need for fabric conditioner either.

Not at all, but it also takes out the residue of the detergent & makes towels more absorbant & softer...

Over the last couple of weeks Ive been changing my bank so money is very up in the air, I have been taking my allowance for the week out in cash rather than using my debit card and it has made me alot more aware of what I am actually spending....

this is a very good idea, I used to do it, but have gone back to the plastic card, but it definately worked when I did it!
