Libby I printed out the pattern,but what are stitch markers? I can knit but don't understand that bit.

You can find stitch markers here http://www.angelyarns.com/yarn/stitch.php but you may also find them on Ebay! Basically when it says 'place stitch marker' you slide one on your righthand needle!

i like that. sometimes my head is hot, but my ears are cold.

but looking at the pattern, my knitting knowledge fell over at 2x2 Rib!

2 x 2 rib is easy aqui, its k 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches, then knit 2 more, purl 2 more and so on.......  Laughing
