Morning all  Very Happy

Another day at my desk today, but no decorating after work as I'm working in the restaurant this evening.  I must go into town on the way home this afternoon to get something beautiful for daughter-in-law's birthday next week.  Luckily, we have a fair trade shop which sells all sorts of lovely ethnic things, jewellry and so on, so I'm bound to find something.

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Kathy - J seems to think it's fun to put his fingers in all my facial orifices. He's tried ears, nose and mouth, so only the eyes left.

JC - sounds like a nice shopping trip!

I feel blurgh today. all tired and achey. J's a bit snotty and grumpy too. He's currently having a very very early nap, so goodness knows when he'll want to go to bed tonight (or this afternoon!)

the surveryor's done the energy efficiency report for the HIP this morning. I await the results (it feels like i've sat an exam!) I don't think we'll do particularly well. (guilty smiley!) Next house I will make sure we get it really efficient, though.

Morning folks, I've had a shifting things around and cleaning binge this morning! Chaps coming to look at the fridge so I had to pull it out and anyone who's got a fridge knows what it gets like underneath.  Embarassed

I've been called in to work at 1, someone off sick again, still, it's always a bit of extra money.

Hope you feel better soon Aqui, are you taking any herbs to help?

That shop sounds lovely Jellycat, a friend of ours is opening one in the village in August, as you say, some lovely stuff.  Smile

Evening all!

An ok day at work then made a dash for a long overdue haircut, several inches have vanished!  Got home to discover that Saphie decided that my family heirloom bible should be turned into papier mache.  Amongst all the 100s of books on the shelves, she chose that one.  My own fault really, should have made sure it was on a higher shelf  Rolling Eyes

The old back is still playing up, woke up at 4am and just couldn't stay in bed any longer so wandered about the house trying to get comfortable.  Then the chooks kicked off at 4.45am, gawd were they noisy, now stressed about the neighbour from hell  again:shock:

After Saphie's funny turn two weeks ago that we had put down to heatstroke, no 1 son has just told me that last night she went all peculiar for no reason whatsover.  Am now wondering if its the early signs of epilepsy.

Off to find food for no.1 daughter and me, everyone else out for the evening.

hi everybody

what will you do with all that lot libby, i see large amounts of soup on the horizon

CP a friend of ours had a lab that had epilepsy and they had pills for the dog.....they seemed to work and the dog rarely suffered from fits after that...bit scarey when it did but they all got used to the problem

i wonder if labs are more susceptible?

my god it's foul out there

started out quite nice and sunny but by 10.30 or so it had clouded over with light rain and by about 5 it was awful....still is...more like october or january though warmer

our visitor showed up about 1.30 and never left till 5, a very nice lady who could do us some good i hope

needless to say we got wet while showing her round but never mind

made a lovely chinese meal for dinner, stir fried prawns and brocolli - very nice i have to say

i do rather feel like it is the autumn instead of high summer though.....

Started my day off with a hack, then picked Swiss student up from school to take her in to town to see the Navy parade for the freedom of Helston. Then on to shop and do some gardening
Picked girls up from school then on to stables for jumping lessons, back home made tea and took a drive to Porthleven, very windy but dry.

Our student had been told that in England now we all eat fast food or ready meals. Think she has come to the wrong house. So have put her straight.
