Years ago I had a particular form of it (gutate psoriasis I think it was called) caused by an allergic reaction to a streptoccocal throat infection which made me very ill. I was covered from head to foot with awful blisters for months
In th end I was prescribed UV treatment (had to go to outpatients and lie on a sunbed for half an hour every few days ) - apparantly sunlight is the best treatment for psoriasis so you probably should get outside in the sunlight (yes I so know you are in Scotland!!) as often as you can.
Don't really know the medical details, might be worth doing a google search?
Hope you get it sorted soon
Mine's a different variety Cabbage....it's the one that will never really go away. I just wondered if anyone else on here suffered from it and would recommend something...even prescription medication. It's so dry at the moment and flaking everywhere. Have tried the usual E45 and my own prescription stuff, but nothing is really helping. When it gets like this even the sun does'nt help. I'll have to get myself a portable vacuum cleaner instead!!!!!
My Husband has suffered from this for many years, it is passed along either in the form of psoriasis or asthma from one generation to another, and yes his gets worst when he is stressed about something, only hope it won't flare up for Daughters wedding because he gets it on his face,he just gets cream from the doctor and special shampoo.
Sorry to hear about Jasmine's Mum Aggie, hope you get it sorted out soon. A friend of mine who's also nursed for 30 yrs suffers from this and gets UV treatment on the NHS. She also swear by a plain moisturiser (not petroleum based), keep piling it on, as much as the skin will soak up. It always flares up in times of stress but the above treatments keep it at bay, might be worth speaking to the doctor about.
if you are going to try goats milk aggie you should try and find some that is straight from the goat and not pasteurised and messed about with
when i was milking my goat i found that the fresh from the goat milk was just like semi skimmed but left for a day or two went "goat-y" and the taste also depends on what they are fed on...if they are eating alot of weeds the taste is stronger then
what ever you decide, i wish you luck....it's an unpleasant problem....my son used to get it in his hair and the only thing that shifted it was straight coal tar that we used to have to rub into his hair and then he had to sleep in a shower cap .....after a day or two the whole crust of psoriasis just fell off .......makes me heave to think about it now.....

Don't think things will ever get sorted out on the Jasmine front...poor little girl ....she suffers from such verbal abuse you would'nt believe,,,,and her mother would rather put her in care rather than let her stay with me for 6 months
'll have to get and see my gp....it has gone onto my face now.

Yes Nanny..it's the goaty taste/smell that does it for me too. Once had andouillette sausage in france once....almost chucked in the restaurant....a total farmyard (and none too clean either) taste!! I used straight coal-tar for years....really nasty stuff
when my two were young, they suffered badly from Excema , wrong spelling.I used something called Dream Cream on it, and it was really good you can get it in Lush stores or online. here is a video that tells you about it
Cabbage.......we could'nt afford a weekend in Skeggy at the moment!!!
Red.....I remember using that a long time ago and it's really nice....but I think I need something a little stronger at the moment...thanks for the link though!
