Morning all  Very Happy

It's still warm here, but it did freshen up last evening and even got a bit cool!  I'm hoping to slope off home a bit early today so I can watch Wimbledon...

Millie killed another chick this morning - I think this one was a partridge  Sad   She's such a horror!

Tomorrow we have grandbabies galore coming to visit - two for an overnight stay and two for the day.  We're taking them all, and their parents, to the Alnwick Garden so they can run around and wear themselves out (the children that is, not necessarily their parents...)!  We're members of the friends scheme so we get reduced ticket prices and it's a great place for children because it's totally enclosed so they can't escape!

On Sunday OH has promised to take the two who are staying over home in time for me to watch the tennis in peace...  Laughing

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Enjoy your weekend Lizzie (and everyone else). I can't load the garden website.

J had a great time at preschool yesterday. and we spent much of the afternoon in (or around) the paddling pool. He's clearly not ready for potty training as he weed about 8 times in 90 mins! then he trod on a bee and got stung of course. but he's walking fine today. He did seem to be having nightmares about it last night.

really horrid and clammy today, but it's drizzling with rain so hopefully that'll clear it.

today we've got to go to the green grocers (they know us well there already!) and then stay in this afternoon waiting for the phone engineer.

Its very warm and clammy here we had horrendous thunder storms and flooding yesterday but it cleared up quickly.

Today a normal day in this household......eldest has swimming this morning, personal survival so has to swim in pj's, then they havs a gym session this after noon for 1 hour then at 2;50 I have to fly round picking one up from the gym then the youngest from school and deliver them to the beach for an interschool's regatta. Youngest has been crying because she doesn't like racing she is more your fingers in the water watching the world go by type, but a good little sailor for her 6 years age.

Ive been up to school this morning and watered the poly tunnel a fete in its self three trips with two watering cans and a fair walk to the tap. and Im quite chuffed with myself I have found some wood and Ive cut the lengths to make the first plot in the school garden.

Gardening is going to on the curriculum so the garden is going to be divided into metre square plots and shared between two children, hopefully with their families helping so the gardening club is going to help mark them out and prepare a few show plots......well that's the plan.

Better go, have a good day all.

Hello everyone, I haven't been around for a while, but I have barely switched the pooter on cept to check emails, its been so lovely have been outside at every opportunity.

I am constructing a fence and gate to enclose an area where the chickens can free range all day every day, at the moment I am a bit restricted as to when I can let them out because Frodo insists on chasing them Rolling Eyes it is taking me forever but I'll get there Laughing

Hope everyone is well Very Happy

Glad J enjoyed preschool Aqui, how time flies!
Enjoy your trip out Lizzie, and I hope you get peace to watch the tennis.  Smile

I'm exhausted reading your post TGM, one of my daughters hated any type of competing. She was always happy to watch or just run, sail, jump, ride etc just for fun, it's not everyone's thing is it and she's grown up perfectly fine!  Smile

Hello again Beccy, sounds like you've been busy enjoying the good weather.

Visit to parents this morning and to see a sister who's visiting from Amsterdam. I managed to last for 2 hrs so not bad going (you'd have to know them to understand!). Just going out to pick some lemon mint for drying and also to get in some more plants.

hello all

much cooler here today, i had my jeans on and a t-shirt and never much worked up a sweat till the afternoon

3 new students from the coleg started today, 3 strapping boys so they'll fit in quite well thank you...they only stayed till just before 12 today but will do the full day as of next week

put goats out first thing..they were fine till it rained and then moaned to go back in about 11..they have a shelter in the field but never seem to want to go in there when they can go back in the barn and have hay...funny that....

early lunch and then i weeded another veg plot, only one left now and the flower bed that i started in the spring and never finished so it is overgrown with everything but flowers...

round about 2.30 i decided to cut the front grass....it has to be done doesn't it?  that took me ages, about 2 hours in the end....i was shot to bits by the end and that's when i worked up a sweat...very glad of my shower this evening i have to say

tomorrow is the llangadog carnival and of course it is supposed to rain....always the way isn't it?  i always feel sorry for the organisers as i know how i feel myself...anyway we are borrowing a couple of animals that will lead the procession and then we are supposed to have a stall at the field but if it is raining, i don't know if we shall bother, it's hard work in the wet....

still we shall see....

sunday we are off and don't know what we shall do...if it is raining it may just be the day for beer making and wine bottling at long last
