at last they are home safe and sound......now just waiting a few weeks to get the pair of them scanned to see if they are in foal

here is little Apache Dawn kissing her new mate bye before they left for the stallions place

and this is who they stayed with........he is 3 years old and a total gentleman. the chap who owns him takes him in the shafts to collect feed every week.

and finally, Apache stretching her legs after coming back with her mum..

Lovely pics. A horse called Apache at the stables gave birth to a colt this morning. It's very cute.

awww......i take it the apache you speak of is a coloured too.....lol

ours is called Apache Dawn to use her full name, but we call her baby or patchy....lol.
she is getting really adventurous now, when i sit down for 5 minutes on the milk crate, yep all mod cons here.....fofl, she tries to climb up on me.....i keep telling her goats do that, and she is not a goat....... Very Happy

but i have now started to discipline her and teach her is it not the right thing to do.......very cute now, but a full grown horse doing it, might be a bit of a shock to the sytem..........ouch......... Shocked  Shocked  and if you rub her bum she backs up onto you.......hhhhhmmmm bad habits must stop.....

she is now starting to nibble at the grass, but cant understand what the funny stuff in her mouth is and pulls really strange faces....lol.....and if you tickle her neck she nibbles your arm...sort of grooming me.......but teeth are now coming thru so it pinches a little, so i think that is another thing i will have to stop her doing........big teeth hurt.....

mum and aunt are still very protective over her with strangers, which is good, because people tend to walk accross the field, which they have no right to do but thats another story, and both the mares will charge anyone who gets near the little one tho she is fine with us. better than having guard dogs....lol

I've never used a horse and cart but would love to learn the whole thing. It's on our list of plans for the future (Coco and me!).

It must be wonderful watching your own foal Mogs, I'm a sort of great Aunty to foals but hope to be Granny to Maggie's foal next year.  Smile
