I've used soap bits by grinding in the grinder then mixing a little bicarb through it. It is foamy though so don't use too much, a tablesp should be enough. You'll also find your clothes come up just as clean without soap, there's always residue of soap left in clothes no matter how much rinsing gets done. Just rub any stains with soap first.
tomorrow is nappy wash day. I don't much fancy rubbing those stains! can't remember if i have any bicarb. think i might add some citric acid too. _________________ Aqui, T and Baby Jack!
maybe now is a good time to start potty training! _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"

MIL keeps going on at me about that, but I just don't think he's ready yet. He won't sit on the potty without his nappy on. And I can't find pants small enough for him. He has a tiny botty. (I think he must've been swapped at birth!) These days they say 3 is a more appropriate age for boys. (but i'd be very happy to not have to do the nappy wash anymore!) _________________ Aqui, T and Baby Jack!
Ah, a boy, if you stick the potty in the corner with a good comic he might find it in his own good time...
As for appropriate age, polgara knows more about this as it was in her newspaper at the weekend there are problems occuring now at primary schools because they can't decide whos responsibility it is to change the nappies of 7 year olds _________________ the luxuries of civilisation satisfy only those wants which they themselves create...

Well you that big hurly burly soldier i.e. my DS who is 25 on Sunday, well as soon as the summer started in 86 (he was not even 2), off came his nappy, when ever was possible and he soon got the hang of it all, no pushing just guidance from me. Admittedly the potty had been part of his furniture since birth and from being able to sit, now and again he would be sat on it and when the timing was right, he got a big clap but to be honest he also know that sitting on the potty meant real one to one attention
Any way by his 2nd birthday he was out of nappies day and night, I wasted two weeks of nappies by keep putting them on at night time, but lifting him at our bed time worked wonders
