so three weeks after we accepted their offer, our so-called buyers  have still not had their survey done.

Their mortgage application went off last wednesday (aparently she'd been ill. I thought it was a couple buying it). That's 2 weeks after we accepted the offer. I did our mortgage application the day our offer was accepted.

Almost a week later and after I've spent several days chasing our estate agent, they finally tell me our "buyers" have gone on holiday! I'd have thought if you were buying your first home you wouldn't have money to afford a holiday, but then I do seem to come from an older generation where money is concerned.

I was so mad/upset that I forgot to ask the estate agent if they knew when they'd be back. So now we'll be waiting until they return to find out what the hold up is.

At every stage our estate agent has said they are very keen to move asap and really want our flat etc. You could've fooled me.

Edit to add: it's slightly better than we thought as they will be back thursday, but slightly worse as there's something about 15% deposit instead of 10%. Estate agent din't think it was serious. but i do.

it's alright i've calmed down now. fortunately all dealings with them goes through the agent, so i don't rant at them!

i have to remember that i hate waiting and i hate not knowing what's going on. (did someone say control freak?!)

t reminder me that it's in our estate agent's favour not to lose the sale too, so they will be working hard for us. especially at the moment.
