I heard on the radio today that Waitrose will be stocking "ugly fruit".

The National Farmers Union said it welcomed Waitrose's move and hoped that other supermarkets would follow suit.

Tom Richardson, Waitrose fruit buyer, said the range would make customers "realise that while beauty might be skin deep, flavour certainly isn't".

The range goes on sale in 57 Waitrose supermarkets from Monday.

Isn't that good!

I saw something about fruit on the beeb news last night. But Mr Aqui was meditating, so I couldn't put the sound on and missed what it was!

I've noticed since growing my own, that I'm now far less fussy about what food looks like. If it had a slight blemish, I wouldn't eat it at all. Now I either cut it off or eat it anyway. Mr Aqui even eats apple cores. I didn't even worry about finding a little bug in amongst the broad beans on my plate!

I love ugly fruit! We have so much fun at work trying to guess what the strange shaped fruit/veg most resembles Very Happy Laughing
