OK - I must be getting the wrong type of beeswax - mine is comes pelletted from the soap kitchen and smells rather like earwax. I really hope yours doesn't smell similar!

Mine (which came from Lottie anyway) smells mostly like honey.

Where on earth do you buy lye anyway?!

look at a plumbing merchant Haize, but make sure it's caustic soda and not drain cleaner (drain cleaner has other nasties added to it).

beeswax...you can get the white pellets from soap kitchen, don't have much scent. or buy in blocks which is a yellow colour and has a lovely fragrance. I have both types and use either one depending on the recipe.
