Ihave seen a very easy pattern for a knitted jumper, but can't seem to find a copy, can anyone help?
The jumper is knitted in 2 pieces, back and front, knitted in garter stitch, the sleeves are cast on whist knitting the body. Looks like a knitted T shape. It has blanket stitch around the neck, wrists and lower edge.
Very basic,looks easy?debbie bliss

I don't have a pattern like that myself but I'll have a look around Cookie. Have you tried an online search on the sites that do free patterns?

I'll retract that last message, I just found this one here. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071007043925AAoSSnv

The Oxfam jumper pattern would be very easy for children to knit and make up. It is just a T-shape so it is all straight knitting except for 2 rows of increasing for the sleeves.

THE OXFAM JUMPER PATTERN
Please print this page out - and pass a copy on to a friend!

To fit 20" (22", 24" ) chest. Length 11½ (12½", 14")

You will need:
150 (150, 150) grammes double knitting wool.
A pair of each of No. 8 and No. 10 needles.
FRONT AND BACK (make two)
With No.10 needles cast on 57 (63, 69) stitches and knit 7 (9, 9) rows.

Change to No.8 needles and continue:

1st row knit
2nd row purl
3rd row knit
4th row purl
5th row knit
6th row purl
7th row knit
8th row knit

Continue pattern until work measures 6¾" (7½", 8¾") ending on purl row.

Cast on 18 (22, 26) stitches at beginning of next two rows for sleeves 93 (107, 121) stitches.

Next and every row - knit 3, pattern to last 3 stitches, knit 3.

Continue until work measures 11" (12½", 14").

Next row - knit 3, pattern 20 (24, 28 ), knit 47 (53, 59) pattern 20 (24, 28 ) knit 3.

Repeat last row four times more. Cast off.

TO MAKE UP:
Do not press. Join sides and underarm seams, then join the cast off edges, leaving sufficient free at the centre for the head to go through.
