this is great for really dry sensitive skin and is clearing up j's eczema! although it is a bit greasy.
1/2cup coconut oil
1/2cup beeswax
1/2cup olive oil
1/4cup distilled water
heat the oils in a pot over a saucepan of water (what's that called?) until they are thoroughly melted and then leave a bit longer (or you end up with lumps of beeswax)
take off the heat and add the water. whisk.
leave to cool, whisking occasionally.
when it's fairlythick and opaque, whisk well (otherwise it completely solidifies when cool!)
pour into a sterilised pot.
easy.
you can use any solid oil instead of coconut - palm or shortening work well. maybe half cocoa butter and half coconut or something.
and any liquid oil instead of olive - sweet almond, sesame etc. _________________ Aqui, T and Baby Jack!

A bain marie aqui!
Now you have inspired me to get creative with the lotions and potions, I haven't made very much at all this winter, been too busy with other stuff. |
