I have an external hard drive, that I want to back up my documents or even my hard drive on.
How do people here go about backing up their data, or don't they.
Any suggestions? |

I don't do it the way I should!
I did buy an external hard drive a while back but Greenman took it and uses it to back up his photos. I back my stuff up onto DVDs, probably about every couple of months.
I know you can use back up software that will mirror your hard drive to whatever parameters you set it to. Say you want to back up weekly to an external hard drive, it will do that for you and it's probably the safest way to keep your data in tact. |

I just copy my photo file onto my external drive every now and again and replace the old file on it.
One thing my dad said, though, was to keep the external drive away from the computer, in case of theft or something nasty. He's also taken a copy of my photo file on his hard drive (it's basically pictures of J!) _________________ Aqui, T and Baby Jack!
