We need to buy a bottle of wine for a present. Neither of us drink, so know nothing about it!

What's a good white wine for under £10 that I can get in the supermarket (so no nettle and pea wine!)

i am rather partial to a pinot grigio myself, nice and light, no oakiness like you often get in a chardonnay....

or a chablis, that usually goes down very well and is a bit pricer than a lot of pinot

Depends if the recipient is a wine buff or not. Usually for most peeps a bottle at around £8.00 is fine, as cost usually indicates quality with wine.
