I have run recovery program and could'nt find the family history files, so am running a second one today, just in case.
In the meantime, I was going to re-do hubbies tree for him. We had bought a new 'Family Historian' software but never got round to really using it, as we where happily bimbling along with the 'Generations' software we had used for years!
I have loaded it onto my computer to play with but other than that nothing!
So I thought I would load the Historian onto hubbies laptop and make a start!!!
The disk is not in the box
Now this is one area I am very organised about as my computer man will tell you, I can lay my hand to any disk and any key number with ease. As they all live in the same cupboard, usually in there boxes, but if not I have a large box file which holds all the major disks!
I have the box, I have the booklet, I have the registration key and the upgrade disk, but not the main disk!!
I have no idea where else to look??
I'm beginning to think someone doesn't like me, I wonder what I've done wrong _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"

I left the box open next to the laptop, went through to the other room to look through some files, came back, made some toast and came and sat by the computer and there it was ontop of the box??
I've always said theres a poltergist in this house
Happy...... ish now (checks over shoulder) _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"

Things go missing never to be seen again - we think it's doing some celestial DIY somewhere, judging by the number of packets of screws/paintbrushes and the like that have disappeared.... _________________ When I married Mr. Right, I didn't realise his first name was Always ...

ah now, that isn't celestial DIY, that's a man looking for stuff he hasn't put away the last time he used it
mr nanny is well into that
i have my own tool bag and stuff and if he can't find his, he pinches mine and that really hacks me off because then i have to go and hunt for my own stuff
