Geeze the otherday what a nightmare!!!
My self & the OH decided to go to Oxwich Bay for a spot of fishing, we had been told of a local walk to the beach through a nature reserve across marshland and through a forest about a 30 min walk tops...

Lovely walk in fact not a problem. We left the beach at about 7:30 in the evening and it was very humid and took the same walk back not that steep or challangeing for us at all tbh.

And OMG!!!  disaster I could'nt breathe properly! It lasted a good few hours was'nt right until about 11:30 that evening not being able to get a lung full of fresh air at all. My OH suffers from COPD and asthema he was able to breathe but had stabbing pains in his lower lungs  Shocked
My OH ended up makeing me take one of his inhalers to open my lungs up it was that bad  Shocked within 5 mins I could sort of get a good breath in  Very Happy

We had'nt eat, drank or done anything diffrent to normal other than walk through this forest and marshland... we are  putting it down to a possible weird pollen allergy attack? there was allot of strange in seeding grasses and allot of cedar in the woods so I guess it's a big possiblity? I've never had a allergy in my life!.

WE won't to doing the walk again me thinks lol!

Found this useful site on pollen counts and weather realated things while we where reaserching the strange event of the fishing trip if it's any use to anyone  Very Happy

Our pollen count for that day was 6 I think it was actually more in the spot we happened to be walking in.

Golly how very scary for you. I suspect it was the grass pollens but maybe Kathy might know.

Seriously shook us up tbh, I mean my OH has in past suffered bad with his chest but never me and he had effects as well  Shocked was like symptoms of pluersy but instant really confusing, we both feel like we've been brused or rather kicked in the chest today but can thankfully get a breath now and no futher ill effects strange  Laughing

Were you anywhere near arable farming land? I have had similar to what you describe when I inadvertently walked beside a field of crops that had just been sprayed, really scary. Hope you're both feeling better now.
