This is my 6th Forest Canopy Shawl, that I have made, I have done several more repeats on the main body and the fringe, but as you can see the biggest difference is the beads.
The yarn I bought from a friend on another forum, last summer when she was having a big de-stash, I bought lots of 'red's', with a guess that Poppy would wear a red dress to the prom, this particular yarn (I not sure what it is), is lovely and soft and was the correct shade of red for the dress, but the only down side, was, the colour leaked over my fingers every time I knitted, however it was very interesting to see how I tension yarn and knit
The finish shawl went beautifully with the dress but I as said in Poppy’s prom post even at midnight she had no use for the shawl due to the lovely Mediterranean weather we had.
That is just beautiful Jacky, how clever you are.
I really must have a go at incorporating beads into knitting, my sister makes her own glass and silver beads.
That's awesomely good Jacky - well done, and I'm sure Poppy will be proud to wear it when the weather allows _________________ When I married Mr. Right, I didn't realise his first name was Always ...
It is a stunning colour and Jacky adds the beads with a crochet hook!! Far better than threading them on the wool!! _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"
