I have had some fantastic finds on freecycle and I thought it would be great to share what we find. It might encourage us to look more before we buy!!

Coo I like that Libby, unfortunately I've not had much luck on Freecycle & was thinking about jacking it in as a waste of time, I think there are too many beggars on the one over here...

we have that here too, so many wanteds its unbelievable. The Worcester freecycle where my daughter is allows only one wanted per person per month, I think they have it right.
But the bargains are out there, best to look out of season for garden stuff, I got some fantastic gravel for the garden in Jan and lots of it. I've had a TV, an Iron lost count of the other stuff.
Its always worth having a troll through.  Laughing

It is hit or a miss whether you're given things, the ones with a very large membership are the worst for wanteds. Having said that there are more offers on the large ones. Edinburgh has over 25000 members and although there a lots of things I didn't get I have received some wonderful things.

Piano
Very large real persian rug
Knitting machine
Treadle sewing machine
Wine making equipment
Potting Bench

to name but a few! I've gifted many things but always wait at least 24 hrs before deciding. If I have a few requests I tend to go on "gut instinct" when choosing who to give to. Met some lovely people too. Smile
