Halloween!!
I have been an infrequent visitor this week as it has been half term and T and I have been 'doing things'.
She has gone to her BF for halloween so hubby and I have been shopping, bought a red rug for the lounge, some food and then spent aa very pleasant afternoon (weather wise) cleaning out the pond!! Remind me not to leave it 5 years next time, the water lily had taken over and we could hardly lift it out! On the plus side we know what fish remain and we have 12 baby fish, how exciting.
Now we are having showers and I'm going to cook Jeni's casserole in a pumpkin, maybe a glass or two of red and a dvd.
Hope everyone had a good day. _________________ "If we reduce the amount of stuff we allow to accumulate in our lives, we won't have to organise it"

didn't make it last night because we were at our "do"....and what a "do" it was as well....just as well i spent the money on the makeup as there were some very big people there last night...mr nanny knew who they were as they were big rugby people, internationals and those what used to play and now commentate on the telly, meant nothing to me but he was pleased...nice dinner with flowing wine and we were really looked after...we stood up and accepted the cheque and i said a little thank you and then we went home but it was 12.30am before we got home and i never finished and turned out the light till 1.30, mr nanny never finished till nearly 3am...i think we made a lot of good contacts there and we really enjoyed ourselves ...
we were up and running at our normal time and mr nanny headed out before 9 to collect the 2 shetland ponies in an effort to be back in time for the film crew...i cracked on with a couple of volunteers to get ready for them
by 1pm they were here and the rest of the avo was devoted to filming ...it involved the children asking me about donkeys, then leading the donkey in the school (eeyore again and he was brill, never put a hoof wrong bless his cotton hooves) then they all had a pony ride on chunk after which the film crew asked them a load of questions in welsh, i then got them to watch how to untack chunk followed by helping with the afternoon feeds and helping me to get the goats in...then i was interviewed and then the children and parents all left...the film crew left about 4 as i was walking the dogs and then alfie and chico were collected to to their new loan home about 5 so that mr nanny could finally close the doors and declare us closed
You must be both cream crackered Nanny, the trust was very lucky when you stepped over the doormat. Sounds like a good weekend for the animals in your care.

plnch punch , first of the month !
good morning all, I`m still getting over flu, and now have a dreadful cough. Sophie has it aswell.
I cant wait for next saturday, I dont usually watch football, but for those of you who do, the little village where I was born and grew up is playing Norwich !!! and its being televised on itv ! I used to go and watch them with my dad when I was small, and I can remember going to away games on the players coach. This is a home game aswell, so I`m hoping they`ll show some of the village on there. They`re expecting a lot of people from Norwich, and have even asked villagers if they can supply bed and breakfast ! Whenever anyone asked me where I came from and I said Paulton, no one had ever heard of it, but now they`ll know where it is !
I just hope they beat Norwich
have a good day everyone
