I won't be around for awhile as we are travelling up to Worcester for K's Graduation (very excited) and staying a few days.

Its quite fraught up there at the mo, had K in floods of tears on the phone last night, all the interns are revolting and have started to look for new jobs (including k) basically this is the first year of the internship so new to both to Uni and students, I think the Uni have set unrealistic targets and the interns are telling them that 2000 word essay, plus research and ordering of books (as Uni don't have enough) cannot be done in 4 weeks if they are all doing 30hr working week plus one full day in Uni as well!
We shall see?

Thinking of you Lizzie, hope its not too tearful today, just think of all that free time you will have!

Thanks Libby.  The tears started yesterday as the boss is away today so we had our goodbye hug then!  I'm such a softy  Laughing   I've made choccie cake and some granny-biscuits for the troops, so at least they'll miss me when those are finished!

It's a lovely morning here - when I took the dogs out the sun was just starting to show over the sea and to the west, the moon was still bright enough to cast shadows - amazing!

It's going to be soooo weird leaving work.  I've been here, on and off, for 13 years, so it's been a big part of my life.  Odd just doesn't cover it really!

Have a great day everyone  Very Happy

Oh, Lizzie, I hope it goes alright today, it will be strange for you tomorrow not having to go in. Would you be able to freelance work for them if their work load picked up in the future?

Catching up here on ironing and putting away, my absolute pet hate, putting away ironed clothes.

Hope your last day is ok Lizzie, I've always hated leaving jobs.

Do you like ironing TGM, or is it just the putting away? I stopped ironing a number of years ago when the put away clothes were always to be found in a crushed heap on the floor, taught them use an iron after that!!

Have a good time away Libby, and enjoy the graduation, it's lovely to see all the proud Mums and Dads, cameras flashing all over the place (I've done it a few times!). This is one of my favourite Mother Daughter photos. Hope to see some photos of your special day. Smile

hello all

not a bad day really but i couldn't really enjoy it as i was sitting in front of the box all day...hey ho, such is life but i did get a lot done so i feel it was justified....e-mails, Q and A for the young supporters, a few other things done by about 3 so a good day's work really

mr nanny spent all day at an equine clinic and the final result was that the horse has the most dreadful confirmation that has rendered it a non rider and it will get osteo-arthritis in the future...a great shame as he is only 9 but at least we know now..

he will come back from his loan home now presumably and become a permanent resident for a very long time....

lovely warm firethis evening as i has been old up here today when it wasn't raining...
